    About this opportunity:Fife Heritage Railway are looking for someone with an interest in railways to spread the word about their organisation through various media channels and presentations to community groups.

    Their team of volunteers has been successfully preserving the railway heritage of Fife for almost 30 years, working hard to achieve this aim. You will contribute by raising awareness through delivering inspiring talks to community groups such as schools, organisations, clubs and businesses; producing articles for media and radio; attend events to inform the community; support advertisers locally and encourage others to fundraise for the cause.

    Your passion about railway heritage, and ability to inspire others, will educate the community about the work they do and promote the events they organise throughout the year. Ultimately, engaging people in how they can support Fife Heritage Railway's mission through a variety of fundraising activity.

The role involves delivering presentations, creating partnerships with local organisations and looking for opportunities to get involved in the local community, so volunteers need good communication skills and the ability to speak in front of groups of people.

    Travel DetailsYou would have access to an office at the Kirkland site in Leven, but most of the volunteering can be done from home. This flexible role can be done when and where suits you best. You will be expected to attend monthly committee meetings, some of which take place online, plus the AGM.
